I'm the author of three books of poetry: Isa the Truck Named IsadoreBright Brave Phenomena, Songs from a Mountain, and Shake Until Cloudy.

 

A graduate of Carleton College and The University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop — where I received Truman Capote and Teaching-Writing Fellowships — I returned to Iowa as an Associate Visiting Professor in 2017 and 2019. Recent writing has appeared in Harper's, The Nation, Hyperallergic, and The Believer, and I've received fellowships from Yaddo and The Fund for Poetry.  

 

I serve on the board of Transit Books and as a longtime advisor to The Song Cave, Based in Oakland, I'm the founder of Culture Forms.
