I'm the author of three books of poetry: Isa the Truck Named Isadore, Bright Brave Phenomena, and Songs from a Mountain. Shake Until Cloudy is forthcoming from The Song Cave (April, 2026).
A graduate of Carleton College and The University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop — where I received Truman Capote and Teaching-Writing Fellowships — I returned to Iowa as an Associate Visiting Professor in 2017 and 2019. I've also received fellowships from Yaddo and The Fund for Poetry.
I serve on the board of Transit Books and as an advisor to The Song Cave, I'm the founder of Culture Forms and live in Oakland, CA.
